The End Is Near...

Well, I am a little behind on my blog. A lot has happened in the last two weeks. I had a baby shower, we cleaned our house, and I am in my last month being pregnant. My house isn’t completely clean anymore, mainly because it is now full of baby stuff. And I haven’t folded all of my clean laundry. But other than that, we made excellent progress. Amelia is being super nice and is coming into town this weekend to help me organize. I still have a list of stuff that I need to get before the baby arrives. I now have weekly appointments with my doctors and they haven’t said if they think she will come early or not. They don’t really tell me anything that I don’t already know. I just go in, get weighed and listen to the heartbeat. But next week, I have to get a Group B Strep test and I think they might do one other ultrasound. Either way, I just want to have my baby!!

And just a reminder, no one is allowed at the hospital when I am there. Mom and Dad can show up when she is born, but I don’t want any visitors. It’s a personal decision that I made and I don’t think people will understand, so I am just asking that people not show up. When I bring Aubry home, then everyone can show up.

Aubry is kicking me all the time, especially after and during my eating time. Which is all the time apparently. I am always so hungry now, I feel like a pig. I have solved my eating right problem. Even though I am still tired all the time, I get up earlier and make breakfast. I figure I can always take a nap in the afternoon, but I always need to eat breakfast in the morning. Well that’s about it with us, just getting the house ready and trying not to sleep all the time. Chris is waiting patiently to move back into our bedroom when the baby is born. Poor guy. He’s been living on the couch for quite awhile and I think he is ready to have a bed again. I will take pictures of the babies room when me and Amelia are done with it this weekend.

Unproductive...Again

Another week, another pair of pants I no longer fit into. I gotta tell ya, this getting more and more pregnant is messing with my self esteem. I know, I know, everyone gains a bunch of weight and looks a million times bigger. Well, the problem is, that I was trying to lose weight before I got pregnant and now it seems like I am moving backwards. Plus, I don’t have the shapely belly that marks a pregnant woman, so now I just look really overweight. Kinda depressing. It probably doesn’t help that I haven’t been eating the most healthy. I am just so tired in the mornings, that instead of making a good breakfast, I end up stopping and getting some instant breakfast, thus making me gain more weight. *sigh* I am at 33 weeks and I just can’t wait to get this thing over with.

Me and Chris had a very unproductive weekend. We were supposed to go register for the baby shower and for some reason, we didn’t. And we were supposed to take out the trash in the kitchen that has been accumulating from all the cleaning, but we didn’t manager that either. I have a theory about that. It was because on Saturday, when I had a lot of energy to do things in the morning, Chris was still recovering from work and decided to take a nap. Well, that left me with really nothing to do, thus throwing off my groove. Not his fault, but I can’t stay motivated!! Grhgghhh!! Then Sunday rolls around, and to be honest, I was super tired for some reason, and basically sat around reading and doing laundry. I didn’t clean as much either, mainly just focusing on the piles of laundry I still have left. If there is one thing in this world that I need help with, it’s my cleaning follow through. I think that today we will probably finish things up in the house at least in the taking out the trash that is literally taking over the kitchen.

Everyone seems really anxious at work lately. Mainly because we just got the depressing news that our wages are being cut yet again. It’s really hard because we have just started paying back student loans for Chris, and then when I am not working, it will be even harder to make ends meet. But we really need to start paying back all the money that we owe for Chris. I knew what I was getting into when I agreed to student loans, but it still sucks when you have to pay them back. At least the interest rates are reasonable. Nothing like a credit card with their 33 percent interest rate. Plus, if need be, we can adjust the payment plan if we can’t quite make the payments. I am slowly losing any kind of faith that the economy will bounce back. I wish that conference broad casted on the TV, but it wasn’t on a channel that we got, so I don’t know what the general authorities have said about it. The text isn’t out until Thursday, so I just have to wait. I didn’t think about it broadcasting over the internet, but we have been having trouble with our connection. The more I think about the economy and money situations, the more nervous I get. Beyond nervous. It does not help that I can tell things are going to get a little worse before anything starts going better. It’s just a feeling of foreboding hanging over everything.

Beyond the money and the cleaning, things are going pretty well at home. I feel better knowing that at some point we will be moving to a place that offers us more than what Vegas has. I look forward to spreading our wings and settling down somewhere with different seasons. I worry about my parents, and how they feel about us moving far away. But to be honest, Vegas is crushing us and our dreams. We can’t afford to live here, and we definitely aren’t happy here. Well, I am usually fine until about now when the temperature starts getting above 70 degrees, then I get a little cranky. We will miss everyone that we have met down here, and we will miss family, but it’s not like we won’t ever see them again. If there is one thing I love to do, it is travel. So wish us luck in the coming months, with a new baby and hopefully a new home.

Before & After

After
After

Before. Gross, I know.

Before.

So I hope you all enjoy these before and after pictures. This is actually the room that the baby will be occupying when she arrives, and since that could be soon, I decided that I should probably get off of my lazy butt and clean it. And since I have been saying I will clean it for about 3 months, I am happy to announce that I finally did. It all started with work. We had the end of our fiscal year this week, and since I really don't have to do anything for that, I was backup and helping other people get their stuff together. Not that I really minded, but I got a little stressed and then it was freaking hot in the office again, so I was even more cranky. So yesterday I am driving home, exhausted again, and I called Kelly to do something I don't really do. I complained about my marriage and home life. *gasp* I know. I had made a promise to myself never to complain about stuff that I am working on with my husband and to never make him to be the bad guy. I don't believe in husband bashing, because it's totally one sided and unfair. Well, I was whining because I felt like we were in a rut. I couldn't get motivated to clean, and without me motivated, he wasn't either. Well, I made a decision. I got home, didn't say anything about making him clean up, I got out my Zune so I could listen to it while I cleaned, and the next thing you know, Chris is up and about cleaning the living room while I cleaned the second bedroom. I hadn't even said anything! It was amazing. He was even done before me. (I got distracted when I was organizing my books=) I was so happy and I felt tons better about everything. It was so awesome! We even donated 4 bags of clothes to a donation center last night. I know, right, but we haven't cleaned out our closets since we got married. And so we have accumulated so much crap.
That was only two rooms in the house, so I am planning on tackling our bedroom and bathroom today or tomorrow. My back is really hurting me today so I don't know how bending or sitting on the floor will make me feel. It might be tomorrow or Saturday, but I think that with the way we are doing things, we will have a much cleaner house before the baby gets here. It hadn't been this bad before the pregnancy, but I was totally wiped out these past months. So the house had gone to crap. Well this is a really long blog about finally cleaning my gross house. Sorry and I hope I didn't put any of you off of your dinner!!
