Star Wars

Many people, including my own husband are mistaken when they think that I don't like Star Wars. Well to set the record straight, I do love Star Wars. I just feel dumb cause Chris likes it more. I mean he has more stuff for it and I only have the books. Everyone knows that Chris is a fan, but they think that because he is a huge fan and we are married, that I can't like it too. Well pooh on that idea. I mean, I love the original trilogy. I like Episode 1, not so much episode 2, and I thought episode 3 left out the good parts. I love playing Battlefront, and we are now playing Empire at War all the time. I am so in love with the Star Wars Legos game. I mean talk about funny. It's never so funny when you bust someone to pieces with your lego lightsaber. I guess I am just thinking about it cause I love the Star Wars fan films that I have found. My number one favorite being Pink Five. There are only 4 short films so far, but each one is so funny. It's like valley girls meets Star Wars. But very authentic. I invite everyone to at least check it out. Even if you don't like Star Wars, you will find these hilarious. I hope everyone has an awesome Easter weekend and I challenge everyone to watch the original trilogy again. I bet you missed it!!

The Fam

So we are enjoying Spokane right now. All of Chris's siblings and their families were able to come up to hear Matthew's farewell and see him off to Peru. It has already been really amazing and we have only been here a day and a half. Matt gave a really awesome talk and he gets sent out to the MTC on Wednesday. His parents are in the middle of moving back to Billings, MT at the end of April, so the house is undergoing some changes. It looks very different now than it did when I was dating Chris. The walls have been painted and they put down new carpet and all sorts of things. So if any of you are interested in a house in Spokane, let me know. We are going to miss visiting them here, but look forward to visiting them in Billings. Either place is gonna have snow so I am okay with that. I just get a little sad cause we live so far away. We don't get to see them as often as I want to. Chris and I met up here and it holds a special place in my heart. Some of my best friends I met here. So we say goodbye to the life here and look forward to the times when we get to visit them in Billings. So long!!

The end of the week....

So I was really looking forward to next week at work. I got a new position and I was hoping to never have to answer the phone again. Well, it turns out that out of the 7 people that were interviewed for my receptionist position, none were what they were looking for apparently. So now, instead of moving to my new desk and getting a person to boss around, I get to do two jobs for the price of one. Yup and there really isn't a chance that the person who used to do my new position can help out, cause she got a new position and she is busy learning that. Yeah, but wait there's more! So instead of starting fresh Monday morning with new interviews, they are going to wait until Thursday to start the process again. But if you all remember, a week from this Monday I will be in Spokane trying to relax. So then the office is going to be short 2 people instead of one. And one of the people left in the office is going to be trying to learn her new position all the while answering phones and playing catch-up. Fun fun fun. Wow, I mean, that is high quality corporate dollars at work right there. I guess I am just mad cause my raise doesn't kick in for a week, and I get to be major busy trying to do two jobs. One job being one that I haven't even been trained for. Super. Just ranting cause I wanted to have a relaxing week next week before my vacation.
I guess the only good thing on the horizon, is tomorrow I get to see my new baby niece for the first time! Counting down the hours!!

Spokane Trip

So in two weeks me and Chris will be chillin in wonderful Spokane, WA saying goodbye to his brother as he goes on a mission. I have to tell you how excited I am. Last year at this time we went to Spokane just because and it was just awesome. I can't tell you how much I miss it up there. It has a lot of happy memories. I met Chris there. The sad thing is that we really won't have a reason to go back for awhile. His parents are moving to Billings and while I love that place alot too, it just isn't the same. *sigh* Oh well, I wish we could stay longer, but I can't take too much time off of work. I don't get paid for it yet. Last year we got to stay for a week and then some. One of the pictures on my blog was taken there and I love it.
So I hope that we can have as much fun this year as we did last year. And I guess that next year we can visit his family in Billings and I can enjoy being in Montana. I will hopefully take lots of pictures and put them up on myspace or my blog and you can check them out. Well, I hope everybody has a really good weekend!

A promise is a promise

So how is everything going everybody? Well, things are going great for me. One of the girls in my office decided she could make better money somewhere else so she gave her two weeks notice on Monday. Which is sad, but good. We will miss her alot cause she always had good stories and she had been there the longest and everybody liked her. *sigh* Well the other office girl is going to take her job and I get to move up as well. I am pretty excited. I get better hours and better pay now. It will be interesting to see who will take my receptionist position. I can't wait to be the one who knows stuff. And I hate answering phones. I know, not really something that makes sense in my line of work, but believe me, I only hate it when I have to do it.
Anyways, I promised Kelly and Lara that I would post a blog today to I have. But I am not done yet. It's not like I have anything important to say, but I haven't said my worthless two cents for the day. I redid the music player on my blog because two of the song (out of 4) weren't working and I get tired of Coheed and Cambria all the time. So hopefully you can enjoy all the songs that I like in high school and college. Thats the best thing about the blog, you get to listen to music you like and nothing else.
Well, I think that I am going to post some pictures. I am hesitant of posting ones of me, just cause that is the way I am and anybody can view this blog. You just have to know where to find it. Anyway, some pictures of random things and hopefully some more anime pictures. It's what I love to share. I wish that I could figure out the way to make a slideshow on here, but I haven't worked it out yet. Well enjoy the rest of the evening!!

Best Friends

So when it comes to best friends who's yours? I have one, I grew up with her and I have been in contact with her even through college. What makes them so special? Odds are you don't share all of the same interests with them, you don't get to live by them alot, and there are probably stretches of time where you don't even get to see them. So how is it that they are still the bestest friend you will ever have? Is it the way that they know you? The way that they accept who you are? The way that you can get past fights or arguements and still be friends?

I have a best friend. I have a few really good friends. And I have some friends. I think that what seperates the best friends from everyone else, is the way they stick with you. The fact that they want to still live next to each other so your kids can be best friends. This is kinda a reminder to all of us who have best friends, to appreciate them. I vote that the day before Valentines day be National Best Friend Appreciation day. Or if there is already that day, then Huzzah. But I want to take this entry today and thank my best friend for always being there for me. Thanks Kelly!!

Saturday, the wonderful day

I love Saturdays. Even though, now with a steady job, I wake up earlier than I should. This saturday I was going to go to the DMV, but decided to fight with my electronic devices instead. I am going to take a women's self defense class today and I got to tell you, I am very excited! I think it is important for people to know how to defend themselves. Like right now for instance, I am trying to defend myself against the claws of Chris's kitty. She is crawling all over my shoulders in hopes of getting scratched and cuddled. She has very sharp claws. Not fun.

Right now I am listening to everything on my Zune in hopes of figuring out exactly what kind of music I like. I just can't narrow it down. I have some comedy, some rock, some pop, some punk, and to my embarrasment, a couple songs of country. Right now I like listening to Bowling for Soup, who I think falls under the punk category. Help! I want to listen to other stuff, but I am not sure who to branch out to. I tried listening to some of Chris's music, but so far nothing sounds appealing. Oh well, I will hear something on the radio and then BAM! I will have a new favorite band!

Well so much for saying anything interesting for today's blog. I will let you know how the self defense class went. See-ya!!

Silly vs. Profound

So the more I think about having a blog and the responsibilities that go with it, I am forced to admit that I am nowhere near as deep and profound as I would like to be. The first post caught me at a weak moment as I was finishing a very profound book. I was introspective and a little wishy washy from my normal state. My normal state being quite silly. I look to this blog as being my electronic journal that perhaps my posterity will someday get to read. But of course only when I am dead. A little intro to where I am at in my life. I am married, no kids, two cats, two bedroom apartment and a lot of school to look forward to. I live close to most of my family and I enjoy getting to baby-sit my nephew.
I am in the process of getting into the college that I want to graduate from. It's not a big one, but it has some good qualities and it isn't that expensive. I just need to find my transcripts and the date that I took my ACT and then I can go meet with a counselor to set up my education. So we have that to look forward to.
Well, enjoy the rest of the night.
